I find it interesting that for a person who has never seen colors (a person who has been blind since day 0), is litterally impossible to describe.

It's just as hard for the sighted. I know artists, with degrees, who are at a loss when it comes to describing a colour.

I used to see and now carry images of colors and varying shades of different colors around in my head. So I feel extremely lucky that way. But I can't imagine being able to understand colors if I had never seen them. And I can understand how frustrating it could be for a sighted person trying to describe colors to someone who has never seen them.

One thing's for sure, whoever invented the red is hot, blue is water, green is grass type thing to describe colors to blindies is off their nut. If I was totally blind since birth, I wouldn't want my time wasted with that crap, I could just tell someone "What a pretty velvet dress" or "this flower smells beautiful" instead of commenting on any colors.
